Frequently Asked Questions

How much does solar power cost?
On average, each solar panel costs anywhere from $900 to $1,700 – depending on the make and model of the technology used. But after applying federal, state, and local incentives (with our help), the average price ranges from $630 to $1,190 per panel.
What if it's cloudy?
Clouds decrease production somewhat, but light still gets through (it’s actually UV rays that generate the electricity absorbed by panels anyway). So the question is really whether the week-long / monthlong/yearlong average exposure stacks up to offset your energy needs, putting you financially on top right away. What gets us out of bed in the morning is finding out if a gorgeous solar array will save you money whether or not your region is cloudy on any particular week.
How long does the installation process take?
This varies depending on the size of the installation. But for projects under 10kW, it takes about 5 business days to complete your installation – from the moment you sign the papers and commission us to start.
Isn’t solar expensive?
Actually, solar has already reached grid parity making it cheaper than traditional utility power. And whereas your local utility provider will inevitably raise its rates tomorrow, free sunshine remains the same price forever
What if my electricity bills are already very low?
Congratulations, that’s great. But with our help, your monthly bills can go even lower. And with those extra savings, you can finance a more comfortable lifestyle, whether you want to travel, splurge, or retire in luxury.
Do I need to buy solar batteries as well?
In general no. Most customers have us grid-connect their solar panels to ensure they have 24/7 access to power. During the day, their panels supply them with clean solar electricity. And at night, they use off-peak grid electricity to power their homes or businesses. However, we do currently offer Tesla and LG Chem battery solutions for residential use. And we can install specialty solar batteries for commercial and industrial projects.
What types of solar panels do you carry?
We carry a full range of premium solar PV components made by some of the most trusted names in the industry. And all these panels come with a minimum of 25 years of warranty protection.
Am I too old to go solar?
No. Just the opposite. Installing solar panels is a great way to protect (and grow) your retirement savings. And when done correctly, your system can even deliver higher returns than the S&P 500.
How do I know if I qualify as a solar candidate?
Gone are the days when you have to “qualify” to go solar. If you pay for grid electricity – and
have a rooftop, backyard, or vacant lot – you’re automatically a great solar candidate. And we can help you save money for the next 25+ years – guaranteed.
What if I don’t have the right type of roof to go solar?
On average, each solar panel costs anywhere from $900 to $1,700 – depending on the make and model of the technology used. But after applying federal, state, and local incentives (with our help), the average price ranges from $630 to $1,190 per panel.
What if my solar panels never truly pay for themselves?
Many years ago, this was a legitimate concern. Solar panels were very expensive – and grid electricity prices were relatively low. But with today’s solar technology and skyrocketing electricity rates, we guarantee that your panels will break even. And if they don’t, we’ll pay you the difference – entirely out of our own pockets.
